Erasmus+

International student programme at the Police Academy of the Netherlands

The Police Academy of the Netherlands participates in the Erasmus international student exchange programme. The programme Applied research in the context of European Policing is designed for both Dutch and international students. The minor focusses on current European police issues and the working language is English. The programme starts in February and September and the Police Academy plans to broaden its courses for international students in the future.

Students interested in studying in the Netherlands should contact their own university's international program office to find out if their school has a cooperation agreement with the Police Academy of the Netherlands, and, if so, how many places are available. Students will need a recommendation from their own university in order to be considered for a place at the Academy. Police officers who are interested in following the programme should contact their international office of their police organisation. Their international office can contact the international office of the Police Academy at SIRI@politieacademie.nl

ECTS credits

Upon completion of the programme, students will receive 30 credits under the  ECTS  (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). It is possible to study half the programme (approximately 10 weeks) and receive 15 ECTS.
