 International

The Politieacademie is active in developing and maintaining international relationships in the field of police training and policing knowledge. With this responsibility in mind, we establish and foster international contacts and we participate in national and international consultative bodies.

We play our part in advancing and bolstering the international aspects of the policing profession from the perspective of training and knowledge. We also contribute directly to international training and knowledge-related activities, both independently and under the auspices of the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC) and the European Police College (CEPOL).

In addition, we are involved in the establishment of education and training provision as part of a number of projects for bilateral police co-operation within Europe. Examples include activities related to police deployment on peacekeeping missions, those arising out of the new police co-operation treaties with Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, and the organization of study visits and exchanges.

For the international relations co-ordinators at the Dutch regional police forces, the Politieacademie organizes study visits to international organisations.
